Fresh Start Checking
A Summit FCU Fresh Start checking account is here to help if you have had past mistakes with a prior checking account. Past checking account issues may result as a record on ChexSystems. All checking account requests are processed through ChexSystems for review. A Summit FCU Fresh Start checking account requires the applicant to complete the CheckRight online course. Other details include:
- $10 monthly service charge
- No overdrafts
- Debit Card is available at account opening
- No prior loss to Summit FCU permitted
An active Fresh Start checking can be evaluated as long as it has remained in good standings during the prior 12 month period. The account could then be converted to one of the other Summit FCU checking account options. The account will only be evaluated upon member request.
Once you’ve selected your checking account, it's time to become a Summit Federal member, if you haven’t already done so. Simply open a Share (savings) Account with a minimum deposit of $5.00 when you open your new checking account.
