Share/Savings Certificates

If you have a little money you don't need right away, a share certificate may be just the thing. Our share certificates can be set up for $2,500 and with terms as short as 3 months. For terms of 12 months or more, the minimum requirement is $500. Terms are available for up to 60 months. All Share Certificates earn Daily Dividends , which are paid and compounded monthly.

Individual Retirement Accounts

IRA's can help secure your financial future. They offer an excellent tax-deferred investment. SFCU offers, the regular conventional IRA, as well as the new ROTH and Coverdell Education Savings Accounts (ESA). NOTICE OF EXPIRATION OF THE TEMPORARY FULL NCUA INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR NONINTEREST-BEARING TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS

By operation of federal law, beginning January 1, 2013, funds deposited in a noninterest-bearing transaction account will no longer receive unlimited deposit insurance coverage by the National Credit Union Association (NCUA). Beginning January 1, 2013, all of a depositor’s accounts at an insured depository institution, including all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts, will be insured by NCUA up to the standard maximum deposit insurance amount ($250,000), for each deposit insurance ownership category.
